A Visit from Under the Tiki Hut

Today I'm turning my blog over to Carol Kilgore, the talented author of,, In Name Only, and, Solomon's Compass. Carol writes 'crime fiction with a kiss' (check the bottom of this post for links) and I'm very excited to host one of her famous Friday Top Ten Lists.
First of all, huge thanks to Johanna for hosting me today. We’ve been blogging buddies for a year or so, and I love reading her stories here. I think she’s a fantastic mother with great kids.

For those of you who haven’t visited my blog – Under the Tiki Hut – my Friday feature is a Top Ten List.

When I realized I would be blogging here with Johanna on a Friday, I decided to have some fun with that. So I’m offering you ten things about me that you may not know – in a DOUBLE Top Ten format.

Ten statements about me are below.

Visit Under the Tiki Hut at to learn the answers.

So without further ado . . .

The top ten things about me you may not know:

10. A snack I try not to eat or I can easily eat the entire bag.

  9. The fictional creature that is most frightening to me.

  8. The real creature that is most frightening to me.

  7. One word I think describes me.

  6. On a scale of 1-10, how weird and quirky I think I am.

  5. On a scale of 1-10, how happy I think I am.

  4. The top three things I do with a Bright Shiny.

  3. The voices of two men have fascinated me since the instant I heard each of them – not together, but each one many years ago. What are the names of these two men?

  2. Batman, Superman, or Spiderman?

And the #1 thing about me you may not know:

  1. Do I always follow all the rules?

How would you answer these questions?

That was fun!! I was wondering what some of the questions were to your answers!

You fooled me on several, although not on #1 as I'd have to totally agree with that one. I LOVE potato chips, especially with Coke. Fun way to do an interview! Thanks, Joanna and Carol.

I'd say the quirky is higher than 6.875, but that's a good thing!

LOVE these!! I never would've thought of IT for that answer, but yeah, that thing totally creeped me out! And Ironman is great. Reminds me of that Facebook picture of all these superheroes talking about needing to hide their identity. Then they show Tony Stark and he says, "Screw it. I'm Ironman."

YOU are clever. Me too on #3. Oh and #8x1000.

Hi All!
I had a minor issue this morning. You may see it on my blog in a couple of weeks. Put on your giggle face :)

Glad you liked this Top Ten Twist.

Johanna - Thanks for hosting me!

Jennifer - I'm glad they weren't all evident!

Karen - Why are they so good? And so bad for you?

Alex - Funny. And I think of myself as fairly normal. Maybe not - LOL!

Linda K - I don't know what I like most about Ironman - I think that he's so upfront. And there is the whole Robert Downey, Jr., thing, too :)

Teresa - Oh, yeah. Hate #8. Eewww. And those voices...I could listen to either one all day. Sigh.

Ooh, I can understand about the potato chips - which is why I don't buy them int he first place!

#2 certainly proves #1. ;) Fun way to tie the blogs together!

I had to toggle back and forth between the blogs, which was fun!

Sean Connery's voice got to me when I heard him as -- of all thins -- the voice of a dragon. Talk about a sexy bedroom voice.

What a hoot. Do you follow rules? No! You make new ones.

Clever idea, Carol. So much fun! I have that potato chip thing going too. I'm not allowed in the same room with sweet onion Kettle chips.

Have a great weekend!

Nick - Glad you liked it.

Nas - What a relief, right? LOL!

Tina - Too late, like yesterday, I realized I should have written the questions Jeopardy style. I didn't even think about Jeopardy when I wrote it, though. Sometimes I'm a little slow on the uptake :)
